I am a dentist because I believe that you cannot be healthy if you are not healthy dentally. I work hard to clearly explain a patient’s options and together we work towards the best course of treatment. I strive to create long term, trusting relationships with my patients and their families, especially children. I joined this practice because I know that every member of the staff treats each patient with the utmost care and respect. It is my goal to uphold the same high standard that this practice has been maintaining for many years.
I want all our patients to have as many options as possible to maintain their oral health. Every year, I attend courses and workshops at the Spear Institute in Arizona where I learn about the latest technology and techniques and bring them back to Maine.
I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and came to Maine to attend Colby College, where I was a Biochemistry major. While there I spent time interning at this same office with Dr. Poirier where I discovered a caring, friendly environment in which every practice member focused on doing the absolute best for each patient. Upon graduation from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, I was presented with the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Award, given to the member of the class having exhibited the greatest interest, knowledge and proficiency in the field of general dentistry. Remarkably, Dr. Poirier was the recipient of this same award in his graduating Tufts class as well.
I am currrently the Treasurer of the Kennebec Valley Dental Society, a chapter of the Maine Dental Association.
My husband Brendan, a fellow Colby grad, and I are so happy to call Maine our home and raise our daughters in Waterville . When we can catch a game, watching rugby brings us back to our college days when we both played for the Colby team. I am also enjoying my tenure as a board member of the Waterville Public Library. We look forward to raising our family in this wonderful area.
