Coronavirus Update

May 14, 2020

From all of us at Anna O’Keefe DMD PA, we miss you and miss caring for your dental health.

We all know that we cannot be healthy if we are not dentally healthy, and our team cannot wait to return to providing you with your regular care. Due to state mandates, our office has been limited to providing emergency treatment in order to preserve supplies and equipment for the medical providers on the front lines of the pandemic. As these guidelines permit in the coming weeks, we will begin to see non-emergency patients. We anticipate this non-emergency care to begin on June 1st.

In the meantime, we have used this time to improve upon our already stringent sterilization procedures and disinfection protocols.  In addition to some esthetic improvements, we are introducing additional suction devices, barriers, screening tools, and staff personal protective equipment. We are following all mandates as provided by the CDC and going beyond these requirements in many ways to provide the best dentistry and service in a safe and comfortable environment.

Our team is now in the process of reaching out to patients whose appointments were canceled due to the shutdown, as well as calling patients who are currently scheduled in the upcoming months to confirm your appointments.  We greatly appreciate your patience as we all navigate this new normal—appointment times or lengths may need to be modified in order to ensure the safety and comfort of all.

We also know that during these unprecedented times obstacles like additional time off from work and financial concerns can be barriers to ideal care. We have taken this time to evaluate our patient finance options with the intention of making sure great dentistry remains affordable.

Rest assured, Dr. O’Keefe has and always will place the health and well-being of our team and our patients first. This may mean we will need to reschedule some existing appointments prior to June 1 in order to provide enough time to successfully train our team to be safe and to keep you safe in turn. We may also ask for your patience as we move some appointments in order to maintain social distance.

We will continue to reach out and update you on a regular basis through various forms of contact. Please visit our website at or follow us on Facebook for up-to-date information as well as tips and resources on how to maintain your oral hygiene at home during these times. We are also available at (207)872-8911 if you experience a dental emergency or have any questions or concerns.

Please also take a look at our "Covid-19 Info" on our main page for additional resources regarding safety, our appointment protocol, FAQs, financial information, and tips for keeping yourself and your family in the best of dental health.

We look forward to seeing you all again and giving you the absolute best in dentistry and service at your next appointment.

Stay Healthy,

Anna O’Keefe, DMD
